Stylists from Andre Quintal Hairdressing in St Peters Port are holding their heads high having made it through to the Grand Final of the L’Oréal Professionnel Colour Trophy. Andre Quintal, Viki Stunell and Helen Richards are now one step away from realising a lifelong career dream; to win the title of the world’s longest-running, most stylish hairdressing competition.
Andre and Helen explain the inspiration behind their striking image: “Our look combines a classic haircut with contemporary colour. The outfit is a subtle nod to the style and glamour of seventies New York with a retro neon twist and shoes by design icon Terry De Hallivand.”
For Andre, Helen and Phil it seemed like an eternity before the judges delivered their verdict. Upon hearing their name announced, the team leapt off their chairs in delight. “Ours was the first team to be announced as a Grand Finalist in the L’Oréal Professionnel Colour Trophy category and when we heard our name we started screaming with delight,” exclaimed a clearly delighted Andre. “It’s such a fantastic achievement to be flying the flag for Guernsey in such a prestigious competition. We have well and truly proved our style credentials and stand as good a chance as anyone of bringing home the title.”
