How would you describe this look?

I’m in love with this look! I think it’s a great way to introduce some color for blonde clients who want a change but aren’t ready to fully jump in or make a commitment to have an intense color. This lavender balayage is a perfect look for that.

My favorite thing about it is that it can make blonding more fun! Although pastels don’t last too long, the great thing is that it’s a really pretty fade out. I highly suggest this to clients who want to try something new with their blonde hair! I styled her with really soft waves to complement her color.

Any advice for someone considering it?

Unfortunately, this look can’t be for everyone. To achieve those pastel or true ashy tones you would need to be very light/platinum. As a stylist, it is our responsibility to educate our clients on how going lighter works. I always inform them and let them know that it can be possible if your hair allows it.

I highly suggest you work in sessions and always trust the process! No point in having a pretty color if your hair is falling off. I do believe that certain tones complement certain people better than others, but I think that’s what makes hair fun and it doesn’t hurt to try it out!

I believe anyone can rock what they want if they love it! (And if their hair can handle it) Being blonde/lavender or anything in that area will be higher maintenance, so if you’re willing to go for it be prepared for that.

How would you describe this look?

We called this our ethereal icy blue look. We worked together with @taramilktea to create this beautiful color.

We loved this look because it’s so creative and is not usually seen every day but was also surprised at how wearable and muted the color is despite being so different.

Any advice for someone considering it?

We transitioned from platinum silver to this pastel blue. Pastel tones like this are only are possible when the hair canvas is naturally platinum or bleached to platinum/silver blonde (or as close to it as possible). Being this light requires a lot of maintenance, daily application of bond repairer treatments (our favorite is Olaplex), and lots of nourishing oils.

Pastel colors fade quickly, so we make a custom mix for our clients who want to maintain this color. This icy blue is only suited to those who are committed to complying with a good hair regimen and also have a trusting relationship with their stylist to help them get to this color, as multiple sessions may be required to attain this level of lightness.

How would you describe this look?

This color is an ice blonde with extra ash and a sharp clean bob. This look is a full head highlights with a shadowed root.

Any advice for someone considering it?

I always tell my clients that color is an investment and they must take the time and purchase the best products to take care of it. It’s one of the most high maintenance tones out there and washes out fast if it’s not taken care of. Having said that, it’s a beautiful and fun tone if executed right.

Anyone pull off this look as long as you get the right shade of ash tone to complement your skin tone.

I suggest using a really good purple or silver shampoo and a good moisturizing conditioner. Wash with cooler water and low heat for your hot tools.

    Icy Blonde and Rose Gold

How would you describe this look?

I named it iced rose which I thought described the perfect rose gold to icy blonde color melt. I love that it’s a nice way to try out a bolder, trendy color but without having to color your whole head that color, and it would be allowed in most workplaces. It is versatile in the fact that any length hair could do this color, and it looks good straight or curled.

Any advice for someone considering it?

First, even if your hair is naturally blonde you will need to be lightened to a pale blonde to get the icy blonde and it may take more than one visit. Second, this color is not permanent and will fade out gradually with proper care (as it fades it will still look amazing and you get to rock a different look).

The best way to ensure longevity is to shampoo as infrequent as possible. When shampooing, use as cool as water as you can tolerate, and use a high-quality sulfate-free, color-safe shampoo and conditioner. Also, use hot tools minimally.

Any hair type, texture, face shape, or personality can slay this look. It just may take patience to get there and confidence to show off the show-stopping color.

How would you describe this look?

This look is sought after right now. With spring around the corner, women and even men are requesting white hair. I love everything about this look. I’m proud of it. From the shadowed root to her healthy ends. I just love how the layers give her an effortless deep wave with a big barrel curling iron, and the color is just so shiny and opaque.

Any advice for someone considering it?

This blonde is for the dedicated client. Platinum is a lifestyle, and definitely not for the faint of heart. It takes patience to achieve and commitment to maintaining. It is also not cheap, plus the right products are necessary to keep the hair healthy and glowing white (purple shampoo, treatments, follow up appointments, etc).

How would you describe this look?

This look is an icy blond with an added dimension. My client has been coming in for balayage sessions for a few years now and was ready for a change! She was struggling with keeping the brassiness out of her hair, so we decided on a full head of highlights and lowlights to help manage and unwanted tones in her hair.

For my client’s cut, we dusted her ends to keep her length. After the hair cut, during styling, I recommended she uses a leave-in conditioner and shine oil to keep her hair healthy and moisturized.

Any advice for someone considering it?

I would recommend talking to your stylist about a few things first. They should take into consideration that becoming an icy blonde is a process. The client’s current hair color and past history color will determine the number of sessions needed and the damage their hair will endure during the blonding sessions itself.

This look would require on average 6-8 week touch up and also frequent cuts to keep the hair healthy. You should also consider the products that are needed to keep the hair healthy after each blonding session such as purple shampoo to keep the unwanted tones out of the hair and deep conditioning treatments with bonding aid to help repair the damage and keep the ends moisturized. Leave-in sprays or treatments are also great for blondes. For the client’s lifestyle, I would make sure the client knows the less heat the better.

How would you describe this look?

I really love the slight A-line blunt cut and how the rooty base complements the light ends and brings out the detail in the braid.

Any advice for someone considering it?

Short hair can’t always be just thrown in a ponytail or a bun, so be ready to style it. Also, consider that getting your ends this light may take a few sessions and lots of time and money, but once you have it you will be obsessed!

How would you describe this look?

This look is a platinum blonde with a beachy, textured style. I love a good, cool platinum blonde. I also love the waves because I’m all about simple and messy hair.

Any advice for someone considering it?

This look is definitely not for everyone! Depending on your hair (natural color, hair color history, hair condition), it may take multiple appointments to achieve a look like this. It requires a lot of maintenance – you’ll be in the salon about every 6 weeks to touch up your root and get a fresh toner. Also, conditioning treatments are super important when you’re this blonde, as well as salon products to use at home.

How would you describe this look?

This look is an iridescent pearl blonde with a shadow root. I shadow root a lot of my blondes so that it is slightly lower maintenance.

I like to keep the haircut shorter with this type of color to give it more of an edge. Also, it keeps the hair healthier especially since this type of color takes multiple lightening sessions.

I added some soft curls because they really make the picture pop.

Any advice for someone considering it?

Be prepared to have upkeep. White blondes don’t happen overnight, nor do they stay white blonde for very long.

Glazes and proper hair care are a must when maintaining this color. Invest in the best shampoos and conditioners your stylist can recommend. The health of your hair comes first. If products and shampoo are drying your hair out, not only will it affect your hair color, it will just downright not look pretty. A blue or violet shampoo is a must-have!

Consider a shadow root to have lower maintenance for your regrowth!

Anyone can pull off shorter hair! Length and angle (for bobs) will make or break you and should flow with your bone structure.

If you like to only fuss with your hair once or twice a year, this is definitely not for you. If you love being trendy and standing out, let’s have some fun and let me do your hair!
