How would you describe this look?
Tess is one of my college students who I see a few times a year and is always willing to reinvent her look!
She showed me a picture of a classic French bob and I was inspired immediately! I wanted to make sure it was classic but modern – a French girl chic bob.
I point cut the perimeter for texture and added long layers, chipping into the body of the hair to create movement because she has very thick hair. We did a soft fringe to accentuate her eyes.
Any advice for someone considering it?
I wanted this style to be effortless for her. I used Davine’s curl primer to set her wave and diffused it because she usually air dries her hair. I then added some beach waves to the top layer and finished with Davine’s medium hairspray.

How would you describe this look

Any advice for someone considering it?
Just have fun with it. It can easily be a low maintenance style whether you have curly or straight hair because it looks fantastic on both. The model in the picture has naturally wavy hair, so this style is perfect for her as she is always on the go!

How would you describe this look?
This side parted wavy bob is extremely versatile. I cut her bobbin a way that if she wanted to curl it she would have a ton of texture, and if she wanted to have it straight it would look sleek and clean. The loveliest thing about this look is her color! I love the soft lived-in style!
Any advice for someone considering it?
This is a great side-parted bob cut for someone who doesn’t mind a little maintenance. I feel like the length can be adjusted to fit any face shape. As far as styling, I used the Living Proof dry volume blast after we curled her with a 1 1/4″ barrel curling iron. I didn’t wind the iron all the way down, and I left out the ends. It’s easy to style, just needs a trim every 4-6 weeks.

How would you describe this look?
This long bob with a side part has some simple waves with a little bit of flare to stand out. I love the dimension I got with the balayage that complements her skin tone with blondes and some caramel.
The transition from natural hair is just perfect for those who don’t have time to keep coming to the salon. This allows her to have a longer time to enjoy her color. It gives a little bit of life to the cut which frames her faces perfectly and fits with her lifestyle which is always important to consider.
Any advice for someone considering it?
Know what your hair needs. Any sort of magic wand with help you out wonders to get this look with little effort. If the curls look like Shirley Temple then you’re doing it right as when you brush it out it’ll give you tons of waves.
When curling, always keep the hair out of your face as we want to show your face, not hide it. A nice texturizing spray (sea salt spray) will help seal those waves in. Remember, practice makes perfect! I think waves look amazing when you have shoulder length hair, and it’s usually what I recommend when people want a quick style.

How would you describe this look?
This is the most versatile bob. It is cut blunt around the perimeter but very texturized on the interior. You can wear it edgy sleek or soft and wavy, and it is still long enough to put in a ponytail.
Any advice for someone considering it?
This look is best on fine to medium texture hair. Before blow drying, I prepped the hair with root lifter and leave-in conditioner. Then I round-brushed the crown area for lift. After that, I flat-ironed only the bottom half of the hair. Finally, I sprayed it with a volumizing texture spray and gave it a good shake. I do not recommend using hairspray as a finishing spray because it will take away any movement.

This is definitely a look that you would have to style! It could be as easy as just smoothing it, adding a little bend with a curling iron, or rocking a natural wave (with the product of course)! Product wise, I always love a good root boost and a dry texturizing spray!

How would you describe this look?
This A-line bob is a trendy/modern look. Between the sharp A-line, the blue enhancing the graduation, and the texture in the layers, this cut is for sure for someone who is wanting to rock a fun and trendy style. It is the best of both worlds – long and short.
When styling this cut I was going for a sleek beveled look. The best part of this look is the severity of the A-line. Even though the lengths are so drastically different they still can be blended.
Any advice for someone considering it?
First I would make sure that my client is someone who comes in every 4-6 weeks because this cut will look at its best between those weeks. It is great for someone who is trying to elongate their face and make it appear that they have more volume. It is ideal to style with fine/medium thick hair that is already straight or has some bend/texture to it. It will take you 10-20 minutes to style with this hair type.
To get this side part bob style I would first spray a volume spray in the crown area near the root and just flip your head upside down and dry that root a bit to get volume. Flip your head upright and then apply a flat iron/thermal product to protect your ends from the heat. You can push dry the nape area with a paddle brush (brushing the hair left to right/right to left and finish down) and flat iron the rest of the haircut making sure that you slightly bend the length. With this cut, you will have the ability to pull the front off of your face and still have hair off of your neck if you do like to work out.
